Easter Sunday, Maddy woke up super early {4:30 am in fact}. We sent her back to bed until a more {what we consider} decent hour. Then, she found her basket outside her door and followed her "egg" trail to discover little treasures left by the Easter bunny along the way. I woke Brooklyn up a little while later and for the first time, she carried her basket {with a little help at times} along her little egg trail - squealing all along the way, so excited. The Easter bunny brought Brook her own necklaces {she has been trying to hijack her sister's jewelry for some time now} and she has not taken them off since. Below is her reaction to finding jellybeans inside her eggs.
The girls in their Easter best:
After a fantastic morning at church, we headed to my grandma's house. The entire family gathers every year for lunch, an egg hunt and a game of boys vs. girls whiffle ball tournament. The game is hysterical. This year, the GIRLS won {although, we did have two boys come onto our team for the day}. We look forward to it every year and Madison loves when she is with her entire family - cousins and all. It was a fantastic day and we are still catching up from all of the fun! We hope everyone had a great Easter filled with family and fun, but most of all remembering the gift that Jesus gave to us and that He alone is our hope as He rose again on Easter morning!
