The 4th

We had a great and busy Fourth of July weekend. We spent a lot of time at the lake with family. Lots of swimming, running around with cousins and a little fishing. 

We celebrated the actual 4th at our house. In our neighborhood, there are so many fireworks going off around us, we really don't need to go watch anywhere else! It is a 360 degree fireworks show until midnight. It is crazy!

This year, our little one LOVED the fireworks. Helping light them, sparklers, and the noise never bothered her once.

Our older one has never been a big fan of the loud fireworks, although she loves to watch them. But this year, because of the movie Tangled, her favorite part was the lanterns. We found a couple of our own for them to light and then she counted the entire night and said she saw 41 lanterns total go over our house. She helped light a few fireworks and enjoyed her sparklers as well, once we convinced her to participate. 

We had a great time and this week is the first time {hopefully} in two weeks that we won't have to go to sleep with fireworks going off outside our house, at least until next year!!
