Our Tree

brooklyn has a very hard time when the tree is lit leaving it alone, especially when she is tired. She does try to resist.

i love that we have a mix of handmade ornaments and store-bought.

i love that we have some "vintage" pieces from my hubby's childhood (including a tree skirt, an apron we hang and some pictures of him with Santa). i love that they mix with our new things. 

i love that this year, there is another stocking to hang.

 

maybe someday we will be able to fill the bottom part of the tree again. notice, the ornaments are WAY up high this year.

now for some little news: brooklyn has officially learned to drink from a sippy cup and is very, very proud. 

and she learned how to turn on the ceiling fan by standing in her rocking chair (still working on sitting and not climbing)!
