San Francisco {Part One}

I had the opportunity to visit San Francisco last week with a group of 20 women from our church and work side by side with Epic Church for a few days. The church is a special one, not only because of what God is doing through them in San Francisco, but because they were on staff at our church before starting this church in San Francisco.

The hilarious part of my travel photos {this was especially a problem before we had children}: they are all of buildings. I have a problem. But seriously, how beautiful is this city?
We walked by this church on the way to Epic for their Sunday service. It is St. Patrick's Catholic Church and it is gorgeous. I love how it holds it own among the skyscrapers that surround it. The doors are fantastic as well.
We were able in our free time to take the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch. There are not words for how amazing it is to see a city with your own eyes for the first time. Unbelievable experience.
We walked back to Union Square {yes walked ALL of those hills} because the cable car was not running and we had to get back. Even though physically it was difficult, it was great to see this part of the city as a pedestrian. Even Lombard Street.
One of the most rewarding experiences of this day: spending the evening at a shelter for women. We brought some crafts and they loved it. They were so open, grateful and easy to love. It is an experience I will not soon forget.
