It's beginning....

Even though the stores rush to Christmas, and at times we are tempted because we love it so much, we resist the urge to put up our decorations until Thanksgiving is completely over. We make it until the day after!
I love reminding our girls of each ornament, when they picked it out, the story behind it. It reminds me of my house growing up and my mom telling us each year about each and every ornament {I love that she still does that when we go over and help decorate their tree}. I love remembering where we were, what we were doing and what phase the girls were in at the time they picked it out. Although, we joked this year, that by the time they are grown we will have a complete princess tree!
After our large family tree is decorated, each girl gets to decorate a tiny tree in their rooms. This is the tree they are free to touch, move, and re-arrange all of the ornaments as much as they want.
In addition to all of our normal Christmas decor, we had a new friend pop up this year. Our elf, the girls named Jack, popped up on the shelf the day we decorated. They love having him around and race each morning to see what he has been up to!
