Yesterday, Maddy tried out her new scooter. She loved it, but when she would get going too fast she would say "now that was creepy!" She would pretend to fill up her scooter with gas. She also found some flowers and decorated our pumpkins with them.
Brook is starting to stand without holding onto anything more and more. It is only a matter of time before she takes off running. She loves, for whatever reason, to dig through the kitchen trash. She is tall enough to stand and open the lid and try to pry things out, which can get very interesting.
Brook was highly entertained yesterday when I would pull her around the house while she was sitting in a diaper box. I had memories of Maddy when she was about that age and we would do the same thing (see the first picture).
This morning we took them to the doctor for their well visit check-ups (one for 5 year, one for 9 month). They, apparently, are both going to be tall girls. Maddy is in the 95% on height (47") and Brook is in the 95% on height (30"). Seriously, 30" at 9 months! Maddy has hardly ever been on the growth chart for height, she has always plotted her own growth curve directly above the chart. Wow. Tall girls. I love it! The best part about the visit is they are both healthy and happy. What more could we ask for?
