A not as planned Valentine's day

We took the girls to Chuck E Cheese on Thursday. We knew the Valentine weekend was going to be crazy and we wanted them to enjoy the time - so we celebrated a little early. It was great because no one is obviously there on a Thursday. But the downside is that Chuck E Cheese himself never appeared, Maddy was a little disappointed. It was Brooklyn's first trip {when she was out of the sling} that she was really able to take part in the games.
We went to my parents for dinner on Saturday night. Brooklyn was not herself, feeling kind of rotten. As the night progressed, she kept getting worse. By the time we arrived at home, she was running a 104.4 temperature and was just miserable. So the night for me meant giving Tylenol every 4 hours and holding her until 5am when she finally settled down enough to sleep in her bed. {My "big" Valentine plans of taking the girls to eat Krispy Kreme before church and spending a nice, quality, family day together did not work out this year.}

On Valentine's day, I stayed home with Brook and the hubby and Maddy went to church. My sweet Valentine brought me a much needed Starbucks drink when they came home from church. I was so thankful after such a long night! Brook was very whiny and clingy all day. She finally started to feel better in the afternoon, thankfully, although she still has a cough. We bought each girl a balloon for Valentine's day and Maddy received some flowers this year {her daddy loves to spoil his girls}! The balloons are the biggest hit, which occasionally brings out some sibling rivalry!

By last evening, we were all able to spend some time together, finally! {Maddy is in her new princess gown from my parents} Hopefully this week will find everyone on the mend and feeling better soon!!
